Bio ethanol - exclusive won from regenerating raw materials is also a fuel with future. Bio ethanol will be used either as E 85 (85% Ethanol) or it will be mixed with conventional fuels. Already available at the market are flexible fuel vehicles which offer the possibility of using mixtures of bio ethanol and gasoline from 0-85%. But the big deal is the admixture to gasoline.
Bio ethanol is agrarian alcohol used for fuels. Ethanol is produced from regenerating raw materials (e.g. grain, sugar beets, corn, sugar Cain, potatoes etc.). This bio ethanol is optimal suitable in pure form as well as in additive from gasoline- and diesel fuels. A special advantage of the bio ethanol is his high anti-knock properties (octane number).
In Germany bio ethanol will mainly be used in production of ETBE (ethyl-tertiary-butyl-ether).
The federation sets the emphasis of the Bio ethanol range to support the contact designing for supply of raw materials. Furthermore investors in the treatment of projects are connected with technology suppliers by the federations experienced consulting engineers. The goal is to reach a balanced price performance ratio and safe technologies.
Furthermore the federation provides sale possibilities of Bio ethanol
Regio-85-Models will be accompanied for members of the distillery and communes in Germany. Admixture concepts will be supported too.
The BBK promotes the technologies export of his members through the establishing of BBK branch offices. This takes place in close co-operation with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and abroad with the foreign trade chambers.
Fiscal incentives have to be adopted to establish E85 in the market. Resources : - corn (cereals)
- maize
- sugarbeets
- potatoes
- sugar cane (abroad) etc.
Fuels: - pure bio ethanol
- blending bio ethanol with fossil fuels
- ETBE
Aims of the BBK: - long termed exemption from the mineral oil taxes
- economical improvement of crop production conditions
- certification of raw materials and quality
- implementation into the blending market
